“Power spring body”PAT.Made by hot forging with proprietary ultra-thin and high-strength titanium, the “spring head” turns the whole clubhead into a spring. 85% of the whole crown and sole only measures 0.3mm (equeivalent to 2.5 piece of photocopy paper). The thickness is less than half of the clubheads from other brands. It is the world’ s unique spring head structure. PAT. With the impact energy, the entire body turns into a spring, generating the significant trampoline effect. PAT.
※Most of the other brand’s club heads are made by casting, so they can only achieve 0.7mm thickness (15% thinner compared to Ryoma’s previous model). -
“Energy boosting mechanism”PAT.At impact, 1 ton of energy is produced※. And it compresses the power spring body. In front of the clubface, there is a 46g still golf ball, and at the back, there is a very heavy 60g power booster. Sandwiched between the two sources of energy, the spring body compresses then expands, and enables to increase head speed of 2m/s.
※At head speed of 42m/s, roughly 1 ton of momentary force could be generated against the head.

Low spin unit MAXA 20g weight※1 is located on the sole only 1mm behind the face. At impact, a powerful push, generated from the Low-spin unit MAX, rotates the head upward. With the gear effect yielded by the ball and the clubface, the spin amount is drastically reduced by 35% ※2. Incredibly low spin is therefore achieved. This enables to launch an optimal ball with a high angle, makes it fly forward and forward and produces a long roll.
※1 Increased by 8g compared to Ryoma’s previous model (1.6 times)
※2 35% less compared to the other brands’ (15% less compared to Ryoma’s previous model) -
Anti-Roll Power BoosterAfter reducing the clubhead’s weight to the lightest possible, Ryoma places the margin weight at the bottom towards the back of the head. This 60g weight is made of tungsten powder with density of (18g/cm3)* 1 and formed by powder metallurgy. It helps Ryoma achieve low and deep center of gravity, knowing that these two characteristics are the opposite effect and it is hard to make both happen at the same time. The moment of inertia is also increased * 2. Even on miss-hit, the wobble range is less than half of that produced by the drivers of other brands. A driver genuinely that produces bigger and straighter ball flight is born.
※1 The club-heads of other brands that are made of casting titanium adopt tungsten powder of at ratio of 9.2 instead of 18 for MAXIMA II.
※2 4,950g/㎠

Auto-Turn Weight SystemOnly by changing a slice ball to a draw, it is possible to increase the flight distance by 20 yards. If you try to improve the situation by turning your wrist, the timing will be changed or a hook will be produced. If you force to hold back by your hand, a draw could become left O.B. In order to optimize the club-head turn, Ryoma places a 7g Auto-Turn Weight at the bottom of the heel. All you need to do is just swing.

Speed Cup Face It is an innovating cup face with different length on the left and right side. The different mechanism on the heel and toe side suppresses the decrease of initial speed.. When hitting close to the heel, the longer lip helps the ball to bounce faster. When hitting close to the toe, the spring body would help push the ball. Therefore, even at an off-center hit towards left or right, MAXIMA II still delivers a ball with high initial speed to help you increase the average flight distance.

Under-Press CrownRyoma conquered the manufacturing challenge of bending forging titanium over 90 degrees, which is almost impossible. It is difficult to make such angle with high-strength titanium. By inventing a special mold and processing 5 times more than usual, Ryoma succeeds to produce a crown, formed with the bending angle of 130 degrees. By doing so, the welding points of the forging titanium could be lowered to 23mm* more and therefore, Ryoma succeeds to achieve an ultra-low center of gravity.
※comparing to the forging club-head of the other brands (5mm lower than Ryoma’s previous model) -
Ultra-Wide Sweet AreaSince the driver face is oval, the rigidity is higher vertically but lower horizontally. It is the same logic as if you jump on an oval trampoline. If you jump on the left or right side, you won’t be able to jump high. To solve this problem, Ryoma developed an anisotropic material, with 140% difference in vertical and horizontal rigidity* 1. Even at an off-center hit, the ball would bounce equally as if it was on a circle face. That is to say, the sweet area is at least twice wider (the smash factor is over 140% * 2) than that of the other brands.
※1 Rigidity/Vertical : YM 100GPa、Horizontal : YM 138GPa
※2 Smash Factor/The ball speed divided by the initial clubhead speed. It is used to evaluate the efficiency at impact.
